Extract from the delegations to the Executive Director – Economy, Environment & Culture:

Para 28 (3) Travel Concessions

To exercise the Council’s functions regarding travel concessions, including the taking of enforcement action in relation to suspected fraud.

Para 32 (3) Parking Management and Enforcement

(1)      To determine the need for on-street parking bays for blue badge holders and for residents’ parking bays and make or authorise the making or revocation of appropriate orders for the purpose.

(2)      To manage the car, coach and lorry parks owned by the Council, subject to consultation with and consent of the Assistant Director of Property over matters relating to building maintenance and capital expenditure plans.

(3)      To exercise the Council’s functions regarding civil parking enforcement, and its powers in relation to suspected misuse or fraud involving ‘Blue Badges’ issued to disabled persons.
